11/14/07

Player of the Night: Dwight Howard - 35 points, 16 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 blocks, 11-17 FG, 13-16 FT. The man was a monster, and even though LeBron put up ridiculous numbers, the Magic improved to 7-2 by beating the Cavs 117-116. Orlando remains unbeaten on the road this season, and Dwight's rocking 21.9 points and 14.6 rebounds. Insane.

Game of the Night: Orlando 117 - Cleveland 116. Well, this was just too obvious: Dwight drops the crazy line mentioned above, LeBron explodes for 39 points, 13 rebounds and 14 assists (his second triple-double of the season) and the game goes into overtime, where Hedo Turkoglu saves the game by tying up James with a jump-ball. Whew.

"Glue Line" of the Night: Andrei Kirilenko - 8 points, 9 rebounds, 11 assists, 5 steals, 2 blocks. It's impossible to tell what AK-47 is going to do on a nightly basis, but if he keeps this up, who the hell cares?

Watch Tomorrow: Bulls - Suns. I know that more people will probably end up watching the Spurs play the Mavericks, but I think this matchup will be more enjoyable. The Bulls have started the season slowly, and it's about time they turn things around. I'm looking forward to watching the young, defensive team take on the run-and-gun Suns.
